(May 24, 2018) Westerville North High School Athletic Director Wes Elifritz today announced that Bryan Johnson will be the school’s next head football coach, pending Board of Education approval. Johnson has spent the past four seasons as the head coach at Liberty Union High School in Baltimore, Ohio.
Johnson began his coaching career as an assistant at Gahanna High School from 2004-2007. He then moved to Maple Heights High School, located near Cleveland, where he served from 2008-2011 as offensive coordinator. During his tenure with the Maple Heights program he helped take the team to an OHSAA Division II state runner-up title in 2009, followed by an OHSAA Division II state championship in 2010.
