Daily Announcements -October 2, 2018

 

Student Clubs 

Sci-Fi Club: There is a Sci-Fi Club meeting on 10/4 at 2:15pm in room 240. All are welcome, and we will be discussing the next Movie Day for this month. 

Student Council: There is a Student Council meeting on 10/4 after school in Mrs. Young's room (232). 

Art & Writing Group: There is an Art & Writing Group meeting on 10/4 after school in the WLC. All creative writers are encouraged to come!

BPA: There is a BPA meeting on 10/4 after school in room 153. Come ready to talk about Chem Gems and their craft fairs, and the Warrior Warehouse with regards to after school food sales. 

International Club: There is an International Club meeting on 10/4 at 2:15pm. Everyone is welcome. This is an important meeting. 

Silhouette: The Silhouette is launching a new website and looking for staff to help with this, contests, and events. Those interested in joining the Silhouette should come to meetings after school on Wednesdays in the WLC. 

Astronomy Club: There is an Astronomy Club meeting tomorrow 10/3 after school. Officers will be elected, so prepare a short speech or presentation if you want to run. 

Theatre: Come see You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown! 10/4-10/7 at 7:00pm (2:00pm on 10/7). Purchase $10 Tickets on the TicketLeap Website or in the main office. Seating is reserved. Cast/crew t-shirts are available for pickup 10/2-10/4 in the Athletic Office during lunch. 

Mock Trial: Interviews for the WNHS Mock Trial team are happening this week. If you're interested in joining the team, please see Mr. Wilkerson in room 129.

Pupil Services 

College Fair: There is a Suburban College Fair on 10/7 at 1:00pm at the Otterbein University Clements Center. It will be a great opportunity to visit many colleges. View the Flyer for more information. 

ASVAB: Juniors and Seniors interested in the military who want to take the ASVAB need to sign up through Naviance. The test will be given on 10/17 at 7:25am at Central. 

PSAT: The PSAT will be given to all sophomores and juniors on 10/10. Please remember to bring your #2 pencils and a calculator on test day. Calrulators will not be provided for you. 

College Board: If you missed the College Board parent meeting on 10/1, you can still view their PSAT Flyer and their Khan Academy Flyer.

Scholarship: The deadline to apply for the AES Scholarship is 10/6. Apply today!

Athletics 

Volleyball: The North Volleyball team will host Liberty on 10/4 for our annual Volley for the Cure. Please wear pink to school and to the game! You can also watch the game live at 7:00pm or on demand Here

Swim & Dive: Those planning to swim or dive for WNHS this year must sign up for Final Forms immediately and designate coed swim and dive to receive more information.
