Student Clubs & Athletics
Theatre: Applications for directing Senior One Act-plays are available on the Theatre Bulletin Board and are due on 1/22.
International Club: There is an International Club meeting today 1/17 at 2:15pm in room 306. This is a mandatory meeting if you are a part of the Cultural Celebration.
Basketball: There is a basketball doubleheader tomorrow 1/18 against Central starting at 6:00pm. Watch the game live or on demand on the Westerville North Sports Network, with a pregame show at 5:35pm. Go Warriors!
Winter Guard: There is a Winter Guard preview show on 1/20 at 1:00pm at WCHS. Admission is $5 and there will be a bake sale. Come out to support North performers!
Warrior Warehouse: Come get your Cardinal Crazy gear at the Warrior Warehouse, open during lunches. T-shirts are $12, necklaces are $1. Be ready for Friday's game!
Sci-Fi Club: There is a Sci-Fi Club meeting today 1/17 at 2:15pm in room 240.
Book Club: The books have arrived! Please stop by Mrs. Baumann's room (123) to pick up your copy of Going Postal by Terry Pratchett.
Black History Month: There are Black History Month Show meetings every Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday until 3:45pm in room 269. It's not too late to join the show -we're looking for you!
Construction Scholarship: Applicants must be enrolled in or entering a two-year or four-year college program and be in a construction-related field of study. Click here for more info!
SAT: The deadline to register for the SAT Prep Class at WNHS for Juniors, presented by the College Smiths, is 2/1. Click here for more info, and email Mr. Smith today -don't delay!
PM Assembly: We will be on a PM Assembly Schedule tomorrow 1/18 for the Winter Pep Assembly.
No School: There is no school on 1/21 in recognition of Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
Extended Advisory: We will be on an Extended Advisory Schedule on 1/23.
Options: There is an informational meeting on options after high school on 2/6 at 6:30pm in the WPAC for 10th and 11th grade parents to hear from colleges, trade reps and military reps. Feel free to come early to speak with the reps!
Academic Info Night: The Academic Info & Activities Fair is on 1/30 from 8:00-11:00pm.
GEM: To nominate an adult in our school community who goes above and beyond in the lives of WNHS students, pick up Great Educator Mentor (GEM) Award nomination form from Mrs. DeSalle in the front office (due back 2/8).
AP Award of Distinction: Seniors who have successfully completed 4 AP courses can apply for the AP Award of Distinction. See your AP teacher for an application (due back 1/25).
Republican Scholarship: To apply for the Delaware County Republican Women's Club $1,000 Scholarship, email the Application by 3/15.
Warrior Way: Also winning Warriors of the Month: Austin Bealer was nominated by Mrs. Peters who writes of Austin: He is part of recycling club, he plays several sports and he is a member of the ASL Club over at South. He comes over to participate in our activities, and so he can learn more about ASL, it's culture, and give back to the community. Gaaid Ahmed was nominated by Mrs. Taylor. She wrote Gaaid works hard in and out of the classroom; He is always polite, respectful and has a positive attitude. He is a good role model for underclassmen. Logan Conrad was nominated by Mrs. Green who wrote, Logan demonstrates exceptional academic work in the classroom, asks very insightful questions, is inquisitive about the subject, and is a leader in the class.
